One of my friend brought me to a burlesque show by saying you’re gonna fall in love, and I was like … what do you even mean. And after seeing my first show, I knew that would be my new life. I didn’t know how but I felt it in my soul.

One good thing would be the freedom of expression, the healing part of the art and one bad thing would be False inclusivity built on colonial standards.

if you mean the world I hope to witness in my lifetime, I want to see systems that claim to be inclusive finally live up to that promise, where Black and Brown artists are standards, not symbols, and where our history is no longer erased but carried forward.
