Kylee Roman she/her

What trend do you want to see more of? What trend do you wish would STOP?
The trend where people care too much about what they post and share. I know it’s not a trend per se but I feel so many people miss out on opportunities because they’re just scared to post their content or shows or critique how they looked while performing. For all you know that’s the piece of content that’s going to blow up and change your life. So I guess I want to see that stop and more people just share their amazing selves with this world. Someone’s going to relate, learn from it or appreciate it no matter what.

Can you describe a moment that challenged you as a performer?
I’d just left my position in radio and covid sparked back up and shows and events were on pause again and I just remember thinking holy sh*t did I just make the biggest mistake ever leaving something (even though it wasn’t serving me) at a really unpredictable time.

Have you ever dealt with burn out? How did you manage it?
Absolutely! I know it’s not always ideal but take a break where you can turn your brain off fully. You need a reset and being able to be creative hinges off your brains capacity to do that. A burnt out brain isn’t going to help you or your future self in shows.

From where do you draw inspiration to create new art?
I think a lot of the time I do it for younger Kylee because she never had representation like this growing up so that always pushed me. And my philosophy is to always trust the universe has your back.

If you could learn one new performance skill what would it be?
Dancing or DJing

What is your DREAM SHOW? Money is no object. Who is your DREAM CAST? (dead or alive)
I would love to host a show like Absinthe in Vegas, or do red carpet interviews for ETalk, that would be the dream.
