The Corey Hotline: The award winning Hotline Hosts bring you celebratory and spirited dive bar bangers. These modern sock-hop bops are the result of being raised on the Golden Age Era of rock n’ roll. Every Colombia House collection of malt shop glory is buried deep inside each Corey. Just a bit hotter, heavier, the phone lines ever readier. The Corey Hotline’s sophomore record “Dream Phone” was released on January 2022. Their latest record is formed around the songwriting core of Mason Jenkins (he/him), who calls himself the transman-frontman. Joining Mason is Cat Alcorn (she/her) on drums, an absolute heart throb and an incredibly talented percussionist. Recently completing the trio is Cat’s sister, Siân Alcorn, who provides a soft strength in contrast to the other rowdier Coreys.
Tomboys 4ever, The Corey Hotline is your queerest, dearest, pretend-tough guy trio. Let them into your heart, they’ll leave it better than they found it
Lipstick Party:
Lipstick Party is a femme-forward, predominantly queer Calgary-based band, known for turning every gig into a party. Formed in 2022, Lipstick Party creates a highly engaging blend of pop punk hooks, vocal harmonies, ambient guitar melodies, and moody, groovy rhythms. Lipstick Party captured the hearts of the music community creating and hosting the inaugural Rockin’ 4 Dollar$ “Queer and Here All Year” celebration, and continues to curate queer-fronted events across the city. Lipstick Party’s songbook is dynamic and varied, influenced by artists across a range of genres, such as Basement, Thrice, Metric, early Katy Perry, and PVRIS. Tackling subjects from mental health issues to psychedelics, Lipstick Party’s lyricism stems from the lived experience of its band members, creating tracks that are intimate, authentic, and relatable.
Lipstick Party are eager to release their debut EP in 2023.
